Dr. Herschel Berger

I am proud to be 2nd generation to run our Family Dental Practice — Dental Group Of Simi Valley. My father, Dr. Ivan Berger, started this practice in 1963. Now it continues with my wife, Dr Laura Jen Kin and myself. My wife and I met in Dental School at the University of the Pacific. We were married August 12th of 1989 and moved to Simi Valley in 1990. We have three beautiful Daughters: Sydney, Karli and Daryn. I remember as a child going with my father to Simi Valley when he was called in for Dental Emergencies. This is how I learned first hand the incredible feeling of caring for people. It was these incredible experiences with my father that made me realize that I also was destined for a profession in Dentistry.

Some five decades later, my wife and I are blessed to continue the family legacy of taking care of the great people of Simi Valley. Our commitment to our Profession, to our family, and to our community has allowed us a beautiful life. Our Dental Practice is just another extension of our family and we still some have staff members here that started their career with my father.
Our staff is experienced and will make you feel like “Family!” We are still caring for our patients that started coming here to see my father, Dr. Ivan Berger, and now we are caring for their children and and grand children.

In our office you will find warmth, compassion, and above all, honesty. We have been making Simi smile since 1963 and are grateful for being able to practice here. Give us an opportunity to give you a great smile as well!
I look forward to meeting you.

Dr. Laura Jen Kin

As a General Dentist for over 25 years, I feel that the best part of being a Dentist in Simi Valley is the opportunity to know my patients and their extended families. I feel as if they are part of my family and I am able to share in their joys and challenges during the many years of knowing them. I value the relationships that I form with each and every patient and it is my desire to treat each person with dignity and respect. It is my goal to have my patients feel that it was an enjoyable and easy visit, that they received quality services in a kind and loving environment. I have been involved in the Simi Valley community in various ways over the years. Serving as a Director on the PTA for over ten years, to being a Director on the Education Foundation.

I’m a past member of the Simi Valley Sunrise Rotary and past Captain of my women’s USTA competitive tennis team. Our tennis team has represented Ventura County over seven times to play at the Regional Sectionals. I have been a member of this team for over 15 years.

For over 30 years, I have been a volunteer for Alpha Phi International Fraternity. I have held the following offices: Recruitment Advisor, Finance Advisor, Chapter Advisor for CSU/Northridge, District Governor, Administrator of Fraternity Education, Colony Supervisor, Advisor to the Vice President of Program Development at Washington State and at CSUN, and a Director on the Alpha Phi Foundation Board. Through my involvement with Alpha Phi, I am able to enjoy working with college women to enhance their collegiate experience and further develop their leadership skills so that they will achieve their future goals.

My husband Herschel and I have three daughters that are involved in many activities that keep us busy shuttling them around and attending their important events. Our children are our biggest joy and we strive to be supportive, loving and consistent with them. Our goal is to have a balanced life and we wish that for everyone that we come into contact with.
